your 'it' guy for computer help

Barb O'Meehan in Uptown, MN

Learned a lot from Truong last night, the least of which had anything to do with my computer. The guy is sooo solid and calm. As we were sitting together for 4.5 hours, we had a lot of time to talk, and I asked him if he had always been so mellow and unflappable. He said he always has been, even as a kid. His brother on the other hand, he said, was quick to anger and get frustrated.

I learned the ultimate in 'stay calm' when, after having worked for a couple hours installing XP on my machine, something corrupted the system and EVERYTHING he had done was completely wiped out. I couldn't believe my eyes, and felt a twinge of nausea, but he just looked at the screen and very calmly said "Don't worry, I can fix it". So he did...going through the ENTIRE process for a second time, laughing and joking. Talk about an Abraham moment unfolding right before my eyes! I was so struck by the powerful lesson, that I quickly came to understand the reason my computer crashed in the first place. I needed to learn the lesson STAY CALM: "Don't worry, I can fix it", and so the Universe sent me Truong.

When my computer failed and the dudes at Micro Center screwed up, I worked myself into such a frenzy, I could barely function. With all the Abraham I know, I still allowed myself to go to the fear place. Basically, I had a total meltdown. I bawled, lost sleep, and felt my stomach churning. Visions of all my work being lost kept me from focusing on much else. Enter Truong. When I expressed my fears, he simply said "Don't worry, ANYTHING can be fixed, anything". If we'd been in a movie, that would've been the moment we were bathed in bright light and the music swelled. Powerful stuff man, powerful stuff. Life lesson #1: Anything can be fixed.
